Anti-Radicalisation Questions

  • Who gets radicalised and why?

Usually minorities who feel they aren’t treated equally or how they should be. A lot of young impressionable teenagers are targeted as they can get the most abuse (e.g. at school), and are more adventurous and daring.

  • How are people radicalised?

They are offered lifestyles that seem much more worthwhile or exciting to them. They’d be considered more important and, if for a religion for example, they’d be considered a martyr.

  • Who should you talk to if you are concerned someone you know is being radicalised?

A tutor, safeguarding officer, member of PI team or the police if it is becoming very serious.
